Two tributaries of the main stem feed the reservoir. Arising on the flanks of Mount Ashland, East Fork Ashland Creek is 5.8 miles long, and West Fork Ashland Creek is 5.3 miles long. The forks flow generally north through the Rogue River – Siskiyou National Forest to the reservoir.
