Is it worth membership for family of 2 adults, 2 kids if only planning to go 1-2 times/yr? There seems to be lots of stuff you have to add-on separate for so just looking for most cost effective way. Interested in general museum, kids museum, Apollo exhibit and Holocaust museum admission.

If you visit at least twice a year the worst you could do would be breaking even. Entry fees per visit would run about $55 for your family. Remember that you would get discounts to the add-ons which would make each visit different - assuming you don't do the whole museum each time. I believe a membership also gives you a special discount to the Underground Railroad museum downtown and possibly some other places. If you only visit once I agree with the previous answer, pay as you go makes more sense.
Anyone have any tips for overnight at the museum? My daughter’s class is doing an overnight field trip, sleeping in the museum. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
