Tent camping, do you pay a day use fee in addition to the site fee?
A:
Yes you do. However, if you get the $70 park pass, which is good in all Texas State parks for a year, those fees are waived. The park pass pays for itself in just a few camping outings.

Can you reserve a specific cabin at South Sulphur? In Pecan Ridge, I like Cabin #1 and cabin #2 since they are so close to the water. during the online reservation process, it never did ask me which cabin number, so I canceled out.

Texas parks will be going to a system with specific reservations, but they aren't there yet.
