Not sure. Best thing is to contact Tivoli (look for Tivoli theatre Aberdeen). It is run as a trust and relies a lot on volunteer help so is open for key dates mainly. I think they organise tours out of season. His Majesty, Aberdeen's main theatre ( look for Aberdeen Performing Arts web site) was by the same architect If you do go you will find it a charming old theatre much in the process of refurbishment. The stall seats (new) are extremely uncomfortable. They have been installed flat to a raked floor so you feel like you are falling forward from them-- definitely not a comfy armchair!
What is the access like to the dress circle, for someone with limited mobility - able to walk but finds a lot of steps difficult? How many steps are involved in getting up there or is it (like His Majestys) almost street level in the dress circle?

Hi - sorry this is 4 years too late for you but hopefully will be of assistance to anyone else who comes across it. We were on the floor above the dress circle and there were a significant number of steps to get up there. About 6 flights of stairs I think from memory (3 floors with mezzanine levels). As per my review some seats also have legroom issues so I’d probably recommend anyone with mobility concerns get in touch with the venue before booking. All the staff I met there were friendly so I’m sure they will be more than happy to advise.
