Floods have caused havoc in many parts of Zambia. In the Kanyama township, located in the capital Lusaka, most roads are impassable and some houses are submerged in water.

As some schools remain closed because of the floods, children have turned the dirty stagnant water into swimming pools. 'It feels nice to swim in this water' one child told reporter Kennedy Gondwe.
