After two days of scrubs, a bright Falcon 9 rocket lit up the skies over the Space Coast Saturday night. Liftoff occurred at 8:53 p.m. from Kennedy Space Center's Pad 39A. Atop the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket were 21 Starlink internet satellites; 13 of which boasted Direct to Cell capabilities.

SpaceX is aiming to launch 21 Starlink internet satellites at 9:15 p.m. EDT Friday from Kennedy Space Center Pad 39A. Should it be needed, launch opportunities exist until 1:12 a.m. Saturday. SpaceX did not give a reason for the early Friday scrub. Weather had been forecasted to be 95% favorable, and was not an issue at the time of launch.
