Feb 1, 2024 · These are around $120 on Amazon. Fuel filler is in the wrong place, but easy to seal the high mount filler and put it in a low position. There is a flat in the right position, easy to weld in a tube there. A vent tube would be needed in a high position like the Rambler tank had. Again, an easy mod.

Aug 7, 2012 · The problem with buying the parts piecemeal is that you don't get the caliper adapter that bolts between the spindle and steering knuckle with AMC factory discs. ALL of the AMC factory disc brakes will fit ALL AMC models back to the 1950 Nash Rambler (and 1952-57 Nash big cars, 55-57 Hudsons).

Dec 8, 2012 · The old cars were spring soft to absorb bumps in the rougher roads from back then. There were also not that many high speed cruising roads. if you decide to keep it I recommend ordering custom coil springs from www.coilsprings.com. The Gen-1 AMc V-8 weighs around 600#, but that might be a good spring for a small block, which should weigh 500-550#.
