Dec 1, 2019 · It's honestly pretty sad because if they gave Mawile an evolution instead of a Mega it would of been incredibly viable. The main thing holding it back is its bad stats and if you bump them all by between 10 and 30 it would be an excellent Pokemon.

Mawile in Ruby is really bad though, especially on an in game team (where hidden power resetting is nonsense). They gave her zero steel attacks and barely any physical ones to boot. Still made it work on my newest playthrough :)

Feb 8, 2011 · Mawile is good for Bulky Offense, while Sableye with Prankster is good for being an annoying Status inflicter with Priority Recovers to add to it. Both have their uses, but I, personally, think Mawile is better with her Mega Evolution.

It's really good, but most teams are capable of checking it offensively and while hardwalling is not always easy it's possible to switch in on with some prediction.
