Nov 28, 2020 · My cat is an extremely sensitive cat. She finds vet visits VERY traumatic, getting her in a carrier is also very traumatic for her and for me as she wrestles and scratches just to get her in there and even at the sound of the carrier she runs and hides.

He's long haired, siamese mix, looks very much like the photo of the cat you have as your profile pic. He's been puking up hairballs so much as of late, I am worried about him. Her is 12 years old.

I usually notice it when he lies on me while I am watching TV. He will lie on my stomach, he will purr, and then he will start gulping at 4-5 second intervals.

Aug 1, 2008 · My cat does the gulping thing too, but only when he purrs. I thought I had mentioned it to the vet, but maybe I forgot. Anyway, my cat has food allergies and if I think about it, the gulping thing started sometime after all the itching started. So I guess it must be part of the food allergy. I guess this is also why he's been snoring so loud too.

Apr 5, 2017 · The vet said it was a URI and gave him liquid antibiotics to which my cat detested the taste off and would not swallow, I told them vet but he said he needed that kind. It's been a few months and he is now swallowing very loudly and still very raspy when he purrs.

Jul 20, 2015 · All were released prior to the office closing for the day (usually 6 PM), and food and water are offered in small amounts starting one hour after arriving home. I think they want the cat to settle down from the car ride, not sure on that. Start with small amounts of food and water, don't want the cat gulping it all down at once.
