At Northside ISD students are offered an education which honors their voice and prepares them to engage, contribute, and succeed.

In the fall of 2010 Briscoe Middle School was opened and Mrs. Rather was hired as the Vice Principal. In December 2015, Mrs. Rather was promoted to Principal of Briscoe Middle School where she has proudly served for the last four and a half years.

As much as he made history, Briscoe was perhaps more passionate about preserving it. Much of Briscoe's philanthropic efforts - and millions of his dollars - have been aimed at Texas historical institutions, including the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at UT Austin.
