Jul 14, 2010 · Ok, I have searched the forums on the subject of putting a half cab on a CJ7, and have found that it can be done, but most threads go into talking about moving the roll bar. I have the older style bar, and don't want to move it. After reading the "Safari Cab" build, I decided to attempt a half top fiberglass build, I BLAME YOU JEFF SCHERB!.

Jan 24, 2008 · There are kits out there that can do both the inside and the outside. Just do some research. I have been looking into doing this for the last year or so and there is a lot of stuff out there for half cabs. Also, depending on your restraint system you can go through the half cab, or 5 point it to the inside cage, etc.

TJ tops are specific to TJ's and JK's are specific to JK's, CJ's and YJ's are interchanageble except the CJ 8 full cab top, it is simply too long to fit a CJ7 or YJ older CJ5 and CJ 2, 3 etc.. hard tops were mostly aftermarket and made from aluminum

Jan 19, 2010 · I call the design the Safari Cab; here's a concept drawing showing what some of the variants of the design might look like. The pickup cabs look very much like the half-cab on my Retro Wrangler. There are two variants of the roof design for the longer cabs, one is "normal" height, and then there's the "x-roof" with a raised rear section.
