Mar 10, 2016 · The Office 2007 installation program uses small windows for it's user interface. Windows 10 provides a fixed size window for the install program to work in. Previously I had changed the windows 10 display to make text and pictures on the screen larger for my old eyes. The office 2007 messages no longer fit in the windows 10 fixed window.

However, recently Word 2007 documents have started opening in Word Pad ( I think after I used Word Pad for something else), but when I right click the filename Word 2007 is not an option.

I was able to download the downloader program from Microsoft (311mb), but cannot get it to run correctly (it runs fine on windows 7). When I run the downloader program , a small window appears with only some of the info visible.
