The New South Wales H sets, commonly referred to as the OSCAR (Outer Suburban Car) trains, are a class of electric multiple units (EMU) currently operated by Sydney Trains on its intercity routes and some Sydney suburban routes.

The H sets, also referred to as the Oscar trains, or Outer Suburban Cars, are a class of electrical multiple units operating on the OIR network. They entered service on December 25th 2024. The H sets are considered to be a 'fourth generation' train for Sydney's rail fleet.

Jul 19, 2023 · OSCAR/H set. Used to love these as a kid, but the seats are excruciatingly uncomfortable. Definitely more suited to suburban travel. Equal 6. Hunter Set and Endeavour Set. Trains themselves are fine (Hunter set in particular looks really good), however they both use the same seats as the OSCAR, brining their comfort level way down. 7. K set.
