It's a Scrumpy kind of morning... Scrumps is a 6 week old short tailed fruit bat, whose mother was rescued from a zoo. He was born after his mother arrived at the sanctuary. While bats are typically wonderful mothers, sometimes the stress of transfer can cause them to drop their babies- and that's what happened with this little guy. Thankfully, our staff is well equipped to hand raise bat pups of all species! Scrumpy is now getting older, and transitioning onto solid foods. He's even starting to
