Romantic Danube Animated Map | Viking River

DEC Wildlife Tech Madeline Wlasniewski was recently in the Souther Tier to release a female timber rattlesnake back into the wild. This timber rattlesnake was captured a few days ago and is being released as part of a mark and recapture study. Madeline was responsible for the snake while in DEC's care and throughout the release, and discusses the important role snakes play in their local ecosystem. | NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
